One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) 
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

Gorgeous scenery on BR ... although I would have preferred Jolie/Depp doing a documentary of Venice as opposed to trying to act their way through this movie.
Inglorious Basterds - Classic Tarantino. I liked it a lot.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith - Good, funny action movie. A lot better than I expected.
As for The Prestige vs. The Illusionist, I definitely have to say Prestige. I felt that the Illusionist fell apart at the end.
Leave it to Bay to put hot chicks and explosions together while destroying the plot and storyline...
I like how they turned all the Autobots into nothing but servants for the US military.... ( NOT !!!!!! )
I also liked how Optimus Prime channel Bush during the final battle............LOL ( NOT !!!!!!!!!! )
Who knew Optimus Prime was such a ruthless a**hole.... This is not the original Optimus Prime we all knew from the cartoon...
Stick to the cartoon, its much better.....
Green Lantern...... Good thing my tickets were free, this movie was subpar
Battle: Los Angeles was about on par for what I thought it would be, and Hall Pass was a little better than expeced. I had never heard of The Phantom Carriage before, but I try to catch the occasional silent film when I can, and when this popped up under the horror/sci-fi genre, I just couldn't pass it up!

"The Conformist" - Another one from the "top 100 foreign movies" list. I don't care to describe it other than the fact that I really didn't care for it. 1/5
"The Band's Visit" - I really liked this. It was a lighthearted story about an Egyptian police band that makes a trip to Israel and gets lost/stuck in the process. I really enjoyed it. 4/5.
"The Two Escobars" - From ESPN. A pretty good doc on some of the parallels of a Colombian drug lord and a soccer star that share the same surname. 3/5
"Guzaarish" - Indian drama about a paralyzed famous magician and his desire to end his life with dignity. It reminded me a little of "Diving Bell and the Butterfly", but not as heavy and with the required Bollywood song/dance routines (though not nearly as over the top as many Bollywood flicks). Pretty good. 3/5.
"Which Way Home - HBO doc on young Central Americans trying to emigrate to El Norte. It definitely held my interest. 3/5.
"Blood of a Poet" & "Testament of Orpheus" - The first is unwatchable pretentiousness. The latter is some serious ego stroking - it's slightly more interesting than the first, but still it wasn't all that good aside from the camera tricks. 0/5 & 1/5.
"The Black Narcissus"- The story itself was OK, but some of the content was pretty edgy for the time (late 40s). Really vibrant colors for a film of that era. 2.5/5
"Italian for Beginners" - A Dogme 95 rom-com of sorts (I didn't know you could do that.) I really liked it. 3.5/5.
"Fratricide" - This reminded me a little bit of "Un Prophete" - a story of a young Kurdish immigrant in Germany - it was very gritty. It didn't break any new ground but I still liked it a lot. 4/5.
"I Saw the Devil" - Another Korean revenge film. It was very heavy on the gore but the plot/story kind of overrode that for me and kept me very interested. 3.5/5

I ended up being too sleepy to keep watching the first time, so I turned it off and went to bed. The second time we picked up where we left off. I fell asleep very shortly after starting it, but my boyfriend managed to finish watching it.
It's just sooooo loooong after a night of fireworks on a boat. And it's just not the same as the original Matrix.

Interesting indie bollywood flick. Tries to show the real Bombay. Reminded me of the classic Salaam Bombay [imdb.com]
