A "Hey I just watched a movie" thread

12,438 1,117 April 23, 2010 at 06:49 PM
One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

The entire movie is worth a watch.
Seriously.

To hear those filthy words coming out of Julia Robert's mouth during this one scene just makes you wanna wash your mouth out with soap and hump your pillow at the same time.

OK so, hump something else. The arm of a couch, for example. bulb

I loved the book too. Have it on CDs and listen to it every couple of years when we go on a long car trip.

The movie really captured the south as it was back in those days, good and bad. I loved Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch.

Breaking Dawn Part 1 - Everything still sucks. So bad it's laughable. Like when Jacob sees that she's preggers and says to Edward, "YOU did this," and tries to shove him. Could have been a stork. I'm just sayin'. Would've been a much better film if they shoved the author and screenwriter off a cliff and just let Guillermo del Toro take over. Scratchchin

Haven't seen it, but I have a hard time imagining that you're wrong.

Columbus Circle - 3/5. Predictable but not bad. The run time was an hour 20 and they failed to explain the puzzle but still. Selma Blair could have been nominated for an Oscar, in any other film, for her initial scenes.

In Time - 2.5/5. Original, interesting, creative. Too many cliche's about time and a non-futuristic looking world though. Kinda Bonnie and Clyde. You can always tell when the production budget is low. Frown
