10,000 IU??....overkill on steroids! Unless you have a (proven) severe deficiency and it's recommended by a doctor, don't even consider taking this! The standard limit is 4000 IU.

Looks like one serving size is 2 gummies with 10,000iu per serving, making it 5000 in per gummy. So, I guess take one gummy a day

(or i like to spread out any serving throughout the day for constant supply, taking half a gummy at a time to reduce any unnecessary overload)

Good in concept, but they state this gummy has a flaxseed oil base in the middle so it might be messy to keep half of one around for half the day.

Even 5000 IU is typically excessive!
I get "downvoted" here for pointing out the risks involved! Believe the BS from snake-oil salesmen and disregard practical information! That makes perfect sense!🙄

It's still an "overload"....use a well-known, less expensive, credible brand supplement (in a normal, accurate dose, pill form) that's quality tested in the US. One that's not a "gummy" with questionable potency and that contains a chemical stew, that was designed originally for children who can't swallow pills!

Correct!....are we children here? Do we really need toxic, chemical tasting gummies for this purpose (which children should also avoid)?

Probably because you are confidently prescribing what others should do in regards to a topic you clearly have little to no understand or knowledge about.

The generally accepted blood levels are below 20-30 ng/mL is deficient over 30-100 ng/mL is what most commercial labs list as normal reference range and over 150 ng/mL is toxic. Functional and integrative doctors often like numbers near 100 ng/ml for other health benefits especially immunity benefits.

Sun exposure makes vitamin D. Fat soluble vitamins like D are stored for months. So there is little difference in taking 1 dose per month or the same amount spread over 30 days.

What levels are average with supplementation of 5,000 per day year around
In the south 60-85 winter 80-100 summer
In the north 35-45 winter 60-85 summer

If you are young, light skinned, often outdoors, and not overweight your numbers may be a little higher
If you are the opposite your numbers may be lower.

Get tested online for $25 [justlabs.health]. Test in the Dr. office cost $80-$300 and are generally not covered by insurance except for certain conditions. if you test in late August and late February and take have consistent supplementation prior to the test you or your doctor can titrate the supplementation whether it is to the optimal 40 ng/ml traditional doctors recommend or the 80ng/ml that integrative doctors might recommend.

A Mayo clinic study [mayoclinicproceedings.org] said most cases of toxicity took 50,000 to a million IUs per day for several months or years before becoming toxic.

I am vitamin D deficient. Not terribly, but it's low due to office work. My Dr prescribed 50,000 IU, once per week. I also take 5,000 IU per day with other supps. Based on my last test, I am now at the low end of normal after about a year of supplementing vitamin D. started at 12 ng/ML and now at 31 ng/ml. My sleep quality has vastly improved. Just my anecdote.

However, I didn't downvote you but you did to my response that did not criticize you but offered an alternative option/idea. I actually appreciate your post because I didn't know what you said earlier. Thanks for that post
