Note that the on/off switch is located near the plug, not near the socket. If you were running the wire from a distance, hidden or cluttered plug and needed the switch access near the bulb/light, then this is not it.

good for dark closets, like a pantry closet, that do not have an overhead light. But, be near an outlet and may need to run the line underneath the door where there's a gap. Basically, you are improvising.

Doing some searching on Amazon and you can usually find a version of this or better for cheep. But 10' is not long enough for most.

The 4 Pcs. is not available at Amazon but could be used with this 15' cord to have a shut off near outlet & one at the socket.

This could be a good buy if you already have extension cord and needed a bulb socket. These are very short at 10" but the purpose is just to give a bulb socket
