Mediocre performance. Bought it at full price long time ago, flat audio and premium price. Returned the next day

Without bass module, it sounds mediocre. I had the same experience. I purchased this soundbar from BB and returned it within 3 hours. But later I found a deal on bass module 700 at Walmart. I purchased that bass module from Walmart and this soundbar from Bose. I connected bass module using a 3.5 mm audio cable instead of wireless. Now, the sound quality is extremely premium. So, without bass module, you will not get what you want from this sound bar. If you buy both soundbar and bass module 700, the price will be ~$1300.

Exactly this. Always buy a soundbar with bass. Waiting for a good price for bass module.

Be aware the new Bose home theater surround speakers are not compatible with these models. Bose is moving to a new system and I would guess that since the new set released is not compatible, none of the new speakers will be either. This is the second time Bose has done this.
