I really want this table, i have something similar and it would help to get rid of the nest of cables by the couch. This table though provides only trickle charge of power at 2a. Now where near enough to charge a phone so those ports are better suited for power accessory devices that will tend to live on the table. If you want something that will work with this table, get a power charger that has retractable cables and can deliver atleast 60w and mount it on the underside of the overhang and you'll be able to avoid the mess of cables dangling from the sides. At this price i think it's still worth getting if you need a table and decide later to add the retractable cables.

It has 2 12A outlets on it. Couldn't you just plug in a charger of your choice?

Edit: I took your initial comment to mean you should bypass the built in outlets.
