My church used to have big ice cream socials and I remember we'd get warm tap water, 2 anti-freeze scoops and after the scoops got cold enough that it was beginning to get hard to scoop we'd put the one we were using in the water and take out the other one. Alternating until we served however many hundreds of scoops of ice cream.
I'd think that's a better solution than plugging in your scoop to recharge.
