I've used an HP Omen 32" QHD IPS as my main monitor for almost 10 years, an LG 27" 4K IPS as a secondary monitor for about 4 years, and a Samsung 32" 4K VA Smart Monitor for gaming. I recently upgraded to a Samsung 32" 4K OLED and am now using it alongside the Samsung Smart Monitor.
I'm in my early 40s now. When I bought the 27" 4K LG in my late 30s, it was perfectly usable, but I had to run Windows scaling at 150% to make the text comfortable to read. These days, with some presbyopia, even 150% scaling on a 27" 4K display isn't as comfortable for extended work.
In my experience, 32" 4K has noticeably better text readability than 27" 4K, while still giving you plenty of screen real estate. Younger users may have no issue with 27" 4K, and that's totally fair. I'm just saying that after years of using 27" QHD, 27" 4K, 32" QHD, and 32" 4K displays, my personal sweet spot is 27" QHD or 32"+ 4K.
My desk is actually on the smaller side, and my viewing distance is just under 4 feet, so I'm not sitting unusually far away from the monitor either.
Obviously, everyone has different eyesight and preferences, but this is based on my own long-term experience rather than just specs on paper.

Samsung's 32 inch Odyssey G80SH stands out as a big 4K OLED gaming monitor that also works well for text and split screen work. The larger size feels more comfortable than 27 inch 4K for readability and multitasking, and the panel gets praise for strong color, deep blacks, and high refresh performance. The 98 watt USB C power delivery is a useful bonus for laptop charging. Main drawbacks are the very aggressive matte coating, weak or absent built in speakers and smart features, and some reports of Samsung support and return hassles.
Common Questions (4)
32-inch 4K gives more comfortable text readability and more usable space for split-screen multitasking, especially over long sessions. 27-inch 4K can still work well for office and programming use, but many people end up using scaling and may prefer 32-inch if they want easier reading at a similar viewing distance.
No built-in speakers, remote, or smart TV features are included on this model, so it functions as a pure monitor. Audio needs to come from external speakers, headphones, or your PC/laptop connections.
It has a matte coating, not a glossy finish. The coating is described as very aggressive and can be noticeable on brighter colors or when sitting close, so it's best for shoppers who are fine with matte OLED screens.
Yes, it includes 98W USB-C power delivery, which can charge a laptop while using the monitor. That makes it useful as a single-cable desk setup for work and light gaming.

Contact Samsung online to return item and they refused
Gave me phone number to call for technical support and the technical support people would be doing the return. Call the number and waited half an hour.
Samsung customer service is a shitshow if there is a problem.
