Monitor experts, what is the best of the best double 27" setup for someone who has migraine and doesnt play game but reading too much text including coding, ai, diagrams, projects, visio...etc
Money is not issue! But I value the ROI. Forgot to say that it is for Macbook Pro m5. 16 inch.

2x 5k at 27" will give you a very wide setup, but not enough vertical size to stack windows. Split each monitor vertically into two halves, scale text up to 150% minimum, and fit 4 side by side docs.

An alternative I like is a single 40-43" 4k TV (RGB, not RGBW, and computer mode/4:4:4 chroma for crisp text). That gives you 4x HD windows, or 2 HD windows on one side and a full height 1920 x 2160 on the other.

40" is the smallest I'd want for 4k unscaled, and 42" is probably ideal. At 27-32", ultra high res will make things very smooth but you won't get more real estate (text, spreadsheet cells, side by side docs) because you'll have to scale up.

I'm not all that familiar with this monitor model so can't comment on it specifically. But, in general, a 5K monitor such as this is perfect for your use case. IPS monitors tend to be better than OLED when it comes to headaches/strain (they have more consistent brightness and don't have PWM flickering issues). 5K like this is very high pixel density, so you'll find the text to be very clear in all applications and you won't see the same text fringing issues that the current gen OLEDs suffer from (partially why so many OLEDs are on sale lately). 5K is typically a difficult sell for gamers just because it's hard to run games at 5K, but the 1440p switch feature is perfect if you do end up wanting to game on it. All around this one seems really really good and the price beats everything that we've seen lately by a long margin as @Eragorn points out. Make sure to check that it meets your needs with your Mac -- ask an AI agent to check that it has all the ports you need and that your Mac can drive the two 5K monitors. (Your Mac should definitely be able to as it's a beast).

If I'm getting one monitor for a new gaming setup with a high end GPU and CPU, would this be a better deal vs the 32 inch G80HS for 700$? I haven't had a high end computer before and unsure if 32 inches would be better vs 27 as well. Thank you

It depends if you want to game at 5K/6K or you plan to switch to the lower res for gaming and just want high res for other things. 5K is actually 1.78x as many pixels as 4K and 6K is actually 2.34x as many pixels as 4K. The math isn't exact but can give a simple idea of FPS. Gamer's Nexus review for RTX 5090 FE showed that it could get an average ~85 fps in Black Myth Wukong gaming on 4K. If we scale the fps down based on the multiplier, it means that you'd be looking at ~48 fps on 5K and 36 fps on 6K. Additionally, consider the scenes where the fps drops, you'll notice severe stuttering. But it depends on your rig and real performance may vary. If you plan to use the lower resolution switch for gaming, then you shouldn't have a problem as QHD/1440p and whatever the 3K/1.5K is called should be no problem for any modern powerful gaming setup.

I 100% agree. All resolution does is make text sharper and allow you see smaller text, however won't make space larger, because you need run at least 125% scale for qhd and 150% to for 4k and probably 175% for 5k at 27" size to make text at a readable size. I have 42" 4k for work and home. 125% scale and it give enough space to split screen and still read document with good vertical space. I'd say 37" is minimum to do split screen with good vertical space. And I found text color fringe at 100% scaling so 125% is required to avoid that issue too.
