For personal device, like 15-20 years ago. after the iphone 3Gs. that was the last time Apple was actually ahead of the Galaxy S line. work phone is almost always an iphone, so i carry both most of the time.

Honest question, know any hybrids that work well? Thanks to work I have a phone of each brand, would be neat to use either to track things. Used to use Tile but the network just wasn't here in my area, so it was about as good as those $5 short range trackers from back in the day.

Well in the sense that it's at least as good as the airtag or moto tag. I think they've all got a ways to go yet though. I've gotten to play with a pebblebee that a friend had and it seems to live up to the hype. I've tried 3 different versions of Tile and they all suck, so no more of that brand.

Looked at Pebblebee and a UGREEN one Amazon recommended, both seem to indicate that the tech isn't where I'd personally like it to be. They are hybrid in that they can switch networks if you ever swap brands but they can't be used on both at the same time. Requires a factory reset to switch. Doesn't meet my requirements, so given the choice of network I'd probably still go with AirTags just because I know more Apple owners in my area than not, so stronger network there.
