Is WiFi soldered or replaceable on this model? If it's the latter, is there a whitelist?

Replaceable as it's 5600mts I'm pretty sure. No idea on white list.

I'd recommend checking into a 4th or 5th gen P14s with a 7840 or 8840. The older CPU is almost identical, but has a way better iGPU than the 450. The trade off is no NPU, but I have no idea what people do with an NPU.

That generation of ThinkPads is no longer available officially, and your best bet of getting it would be off of eBay or Fb marketplace, and it would most likely be refurbished/used.

Really tempted on this one. Probably more power than I need. I was looking to a T series with similar specs. Would it be worth it to wait until Black Friday?

Yes, they would likely be refurbished, but if you are in the market for a ThinkPad in 2026 there are some really good values on the previous generation with better processors than this one. A lot of businesses have like 1-2 year refresh cycles on ThinkPads, so the barely used refurbished market is huge. Additionally, you won't have to look at a CoPilot button on the previous gen.
