18oz is too light for stubborn parts or even general work. Maybe this is more for someone trying to shape light gauge metal or wood work?

Yeah completely agree. I bought a Tekton set years ago (I think with a 16, 32, and 48oz). I pretty much exclusively use the 32oz and 48oz, mostly for whacking car parts/bolts loose.

I think this was the hammer that Maxwell used to use except this one is golden not silver.

Other than 2 more ounces, is this better than the $8, 1lb version at HF? 2lb=$10.

HF fit under the lifetime warranty. If you use your dead blow as much as I use mine they eventually get destroyed.

I have a 2lb version from HF, less than half the price here. If you have HF near you, it's recommended to get it there.

$9.99 regular price. 30% off coupon (less than $10 item) is always flying around a few times per year, making it $7.
