I have had this keyboard for a couple of years and am very happy with it. The only thing missing is the numpad. While 8BitDo does make a matching numpad, they unfortunately missed the mark on that accessory. For some reason, they added a built in calculator function to the numpad, and moved the standard buttons around to make room for a Clear and Backspace key. Now every time I try to type a dash I get backspace instead.
So:
Keyboard = Great as is but would be better with a numpad.
Numpad Accessory (Not part of this deal) = Avoid unless you happen to need a very bulky pocket calculator that happens to double as a numpad.

When someone makes a retro themed product and some rando looks at it and says "How old is this crap anyway?" then you know they nailed it.

I suspect it's the exact same keyboard as the one I have, I have the clear green Xbox version made by the same company, and it's really clicky and has backlit LEDs. I just have them turn on with keypress rather than always being illuminated. Any how, works great wirelessly, works great when plugged in, it feels premium and has a good weight to it. I often game with it in my lap paired with the same branded wireless mouse. For $51, it's a great deal. This is coming from someone that's been using keyboards since the 80s, believe me when I say, it gives that old school mechanical feeling.

Many gaming keyboards to not have a num pad so they take up less desk space, it allows you a much more natural arm position since you'll likely have both your left hand on the WASD keys and your right hand on the mouse...perhaps for hours at a time. FWIW, I don't think many gamers (while gaming), use the num pad for most online games.

And the retro CRT in a product with retro in the name, going hard after 1980's Nintendo vibes? Seems like a leap, I know Wink

P.S. TKL and 65% mechanical keyboards are also popular with people who pack a keyboard for mobile work. Lots of jobs have no demand for a 10 key pad so that extra keyboard size can be the difference in a compact vs full size backpack.

FWIW, I love the layout. My current 65% keyboard has the arrow keys and the right control / enter / shift area wedged together (and the home key area also pushed way left), ruining my typing muscle memory. This appears to be a standard TKL layout (with the 10 key chopped off).

Amazon likely ran out of stock but is still allowing back orders. In my experience Amazon normally vastly overestimates the back order / lead time. I have never waited for a product anywhere near as long as the ETA suggested (but depends on vendor replenishment of course)

Comments on this are insane... This brand is well established, considered quality, far from obscure. This is one of the best prices I've seen for this kb. It uses white box switches which is extremely satisfying without getting annoying like typical mx blue clicky

I just bought this a week ago at a higher price. It looks so good but ultimately I couldn't bring myself to have this in an office environment because the switches are so loud. At home? This is a steal and it's gorgeous. But I would hesitate to bring this into a work environment and not be annoying.

I have this keyboard with the numpad. I have like 10 hobby grade keyboards and this is the one iv stuck with. Wireless is awesome, battery life is great, the numpad is also a calc! how cool. and i can walk around with it. 8Bitdo is a solid brand and this is a solid price on a pretty neat keyboard.

Typing on this keyboard right now. It's very comfortable. Definitely an improvement from the cheap Aukey mechanical keyboards I had previously been using.

For the complaint about the missing number keypad, I believe they sell one as a standalone accessory that can be plugged into the keyboard:

I don't think I've ever seen these keyboards go lower than this. I've been tempted to pull the trigger on one of these for a really long time, but the only thing preventing me from doing it is that it's not VIA compatible. My current 80% keyboard is, and I would totally miss VIA if I didn't have it.

For those wanting a numpad to go with this, I recommend getting this on Amazon (it's on sale for $32 atm):

I have the number pad and really like it..... although I never use it. I keep it in my backup and thought it would be cool/nerdy lol but my new work laptop has a numpad. Its big and bulky but its good quality. I'd actually like to get the matching keyboard but not sure I want to spend $50 on another mechanical keyboard ATM. I think this is decently cheap for the keyboard though

I have a lot of mechanical KBs, these Kailh Box White V2s are actually quite nice. First set of Kailh switches and overall like them for programming. I probably paid $20 more than this and would still get it again.

Started to get sick of cherry blues.
