This GL.iNet travel router is best for turning one hotel, cruise, or tethered connection into shared Wi Fi for multiple devices. It can handle the captive portal once, then keep phones, laptops, cameras, consoles, and streaming sticks online through the router, with VPN support and a side toggle for quick on and off. It also works as a wireless bridge or wired router at home, and runs OpenWrt out of the box with two 2.5 GbE ports and USB power. The main limits are that it is still just a router, not a modem or cellular device, and cruise lines may crack down on travel routers.
Travelers with multiple devices, because one hotel login can be shared across everything and captive portals are handled once.
Families on trips, because devices can be preconfigured at home and come online together after arrival.
Cruise passengers sharing a cabin, because one paid Wi‑Fi package can cover 6+ devices through the router.
Road trippers using phone tethering, because it can power from a car USB port and share one data connection with laptops, tablets, and game consoles.
Shoppers expecting built-in cellular internet, because it is only a router and still needs an external internet source.
Single-device hotel guests, because the extra setup may not be worth it when only one device needs Wi‑Fi.
Cruise travelers who need a low-profile setup, because cruise lines are beginning to crack down on travel routers.

What about in terms of security camera? Would this help if you want to bring a wyzecam with you when you are traveling and at different hotels? Since a wyzecam needs internet connection, you connect it to your hotel's wifi? Then you can check your wyzecam when out of the hotel with your phone? Or you can still do this without this travel router? You can but it isn't that secure?
I originally purchased the tp-link roam 7 on Amazon for $89.99 with 15% cashback, but returned that unit after doing more research and got the beryl 7 at full price.

So imagine staying at 2 different hotels in 2 different weeks. You arrive at hotel with all your stuff. You set up the wyzecam in the hotel room before you leave to go outside. What's the difference doing this without this travel router vs with it? Does it save time? Or it does it use more time? It obviously is more secure right? Either way you need your hotel room wifi password since it has to match?
Then the next hotel you go to, you want to do the same thing. Reason is because you want to see what's going on in your hotel room when you are not there. What about that?
