My foot doctor told me to quit buying the ones in the stores and go to a one of the places that make orthotics. He was right. Havent had the feet pain, and if standing for a long period of time, lower back pain since about 2 weeks after I started using them. That was almost 3 years ago. (I got 4 pair, they suggest getting a new pair every 1 - 3 years, depending what it's made with. Get the heavier duty kind for work boots, they last longer.)

One thing I realized with these insoles is that they are quite a bit thicker than the usual insoles that the shoes come with, especially at the hill and even at the toe area. So for a shoe that already fits snugly or too tight this may not be an option.

What's an example of a place that makes orthotics? Do you mean something like ortho feet?

I tend to agree with this, but I've owned this brand since 2014 and it has relieved a lot of pain for me personally. That said, foot (plantar fasciitis) and back pain was also my issue. I started working out and purchased a bear mattress (realigns the back) and I dont experience pain anymore. Movement is key

I had PF for a while. My podiatrist also recommended custom insoles for work and certain sneaker brands for casual. They helped.

I think the biggest changers for me, though, was altering how I got out of bed in the morning and also picking up a calf slant board and stretching regularly.

i been born with flat feet and overpronation, one thing that helped me is a pairs of Asics Gel-Kayano (please help me out if yall have similar issue and I can't seems to find alternative to Gel-Kayano) and WalkHero insole. 15k step a day no problem. These thing are cheap quick fix alterative if you can't get custom insole from your orthotics.

custom orthotics are great but holy hell they are way too pricy and honestly they are horrible to work out with.

Asics Gel Kayano and Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 are my feet's bestfriends. Have you tried Brooks?
