Community Reviews

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5 is a huge, story-heavy sequel that shines in combat and side content, with roughly 100 plus hours of play and Queens Blood standing out as a highlight. It also lands as a strong follow up for players who liked the newer Final Fantasy VII entries, and the Amazon exclusive skin is seen as a minor extra rather than the main draw. The big catch is that it is the second part of the remake story, so starting with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade matters or a lot of the plot will be missed. The low price makes the package more appealing, though the skin and packaging have arrived missing in some cases.

I think the included skin is kind of gimmicky and people seem to hate it. But I've decided to get the game as it seems to be at the historically lowest price.

Wish I had a PS5 so I could play this lol
It's also available on Xbox, Switch 2 and PC. Maybe not this particular sale, but the game.

Looks like remake goes on sale for $20 pretty often too
Sometimes less. I got my intergrade version for $10 during I believe the black Friday sales last year if I recall (no promises)

I'll take this over the original any day. I can never go back to the original after playing these newer ones.

Never played FF games but this looks very interesting. $20 might be worth it to give it a try.

You need to play Final Fantasy 7 Remake first, or you'll be missing a lot. This is the second part of what will be 3 parts.

I believe I already have that through PS plus but it didn't seem as interesting compared to rebirth.

Should I play FFVII Remake first?
If you haven't played remake, wait. There's a really good chance Square Enix will sell a collection set of all three FF7:R games when the new one releases early next year. They'll probably announce it at Tokyo Game Show 2026 next month.

Well, you're going to miss a ton of story if you don't play the first part. The original PS1 game is 3 discs, and these remakes are essentially each disc, only much longer. So, there's a lot to miss.
