That was kinda where my head was. I have a 27-in 4K and I think it's too small but a 32-in 1440p feels too big for that resolution. My hunch is that a 27-in 1440p is perfect and a 32-in 4K is perfect

thanks for the info. I spent hours looking this up. 27 qhd and 32 in 4k . thanks for the info. do you think it might be cheaper and easier for me to just use my 4k 55 inch tv instead?

Id love to jump into a high refresh rate monitor with G-Sync, but something im wondering about, i want a monitor with good black contrast so i can see details in games such as alan wake 2. I also want vibrant punchy colors for games like ratchet and clank. IPS is probably not the right choice for that right? I also dont want to go to 4k cause my 4070 TI Super graphics card isnt quite there for that. Plenty for 1440 though.

1400p on a 32" is fine. The dealbreaker here is no curve. A flat 32" monitor gives this effect that the corners are curved away from you.
