For that I would go Acer 5070 12gb both refurb anyways... but it does have the garbage problematic 14700k so I would update bios then stress test it...imo worth the problems for better gpu with 4gb more vram.

While you are 100% correct, you gotta be careful when commenting on these garbage 8gb gpu "deals." The self proclaimed pc experts who have watched 4 youtube vids of some rando saying 8gb cards are totally viable in 2026 come out from the shadows, and trust me, they dont ever call it quits. Buyers remorse is a sotb!

oh be quiet. It depends on what you're doing. Triple A games are slop microtransaction fests with lazy devs anyway. Ever notice graphics from 10+ years ago can look good despite running on hardware we consider bad now? It's almost like Devs had to actually optimize their games back then. Go ahead and drop 3 grand for some unreal engine game that looks like it was made by ai and tell me I am the one who should have buyers remorse.
Spending a used cars amount of money to play vidya game at a slightly higher resolution with shadows on ultra (that look barely any better than medium) and tell me you're not bad with your money.
Elitist jerks who don't know it's okay to turn down the graphics a smidge or even outright turn down a game because the devs absolutely don't know who to actually make good use of adequate hardware. This isn't 2006 anymore. Every big video release is part of a genre. If you say screw it to one, there are a dozen passion projects who would love to have your business. Most triple A franchises have gone downhill anyway.
You don't need to spend a couple months rent to play a video game. THATS DUMB. This is comming from a person who has a 4080 and a 14900k build I got for like 2k a couple years ago. I didn't get my PC for gaming alone. I got it because I was interested in several demanding productivity oriented applications and I'm still not sure I "needed" what I have.
Played plenty of "demanding" games that still run like s*** on good hardware because they are s***. Unoptimized resource hogs. Don't get pulled into this coomsumer, corperate grade, keep up with the jones mentality. Sometimes a games performance just sucks and all having better hardware does is compensate for it, but it is almost never "perfect". If a game runs like crap, it runs like crap on good hardware too, just less so.
