I have 4 Schlage electronic keypads that have never failed me. I wonder if these are just as reliable

Go with Schlage. I just installed their keypad lock, BE365, and it's a nice lock.

All these comments about schlage, want to throw in my anecdotal experience. I had two fail in under 5 years each back to back. Replaced the old one and this replacement broke this week. Seeing if they'll cover it under warranty but their response time is slow. FE595CS. At 150ish bucks each it's pretty annoying.

Agreed. I have the BE365 and it has been amazingly solid for 5 years now. Granted, mine is under a porch and not exposed to the sun or rain. YMMV

That's funny. I have had an FE595 since (checks Amazon, holy crap) 2017 and it's been amazing. 2 of my neighbors now have them as well. I've changed the batteries twice, once just because I was painting my door and another time because I actually got a warning after about 5 years.
YMMV clearly, but our Schlage has been a trooper. We do have a storm door over it, but that doesn't lock and it's still in direct sunlight trapped between the storm door and our metal front door, being cooked all summer.

It's great to be able to temp program a code for workers or friends and then remove it later. Not needing a key is a huge convenience.
