Far superior to the "Deep Crystal" wash sold by Jerry Maguire. I also recommend their NXT liquid wax for light colored vehicles and Gold Class liquid wax for darker paints.

Deep crystal is fine. It's just a ph neutral soap which is probably better for an enthusiast anyway. Gold class has "gloss enhancers" which are fine if you're not planning on putting on something after. I always use a spray wax/spray coating as a drying aid to reduce drying scratches and add some gloss and "protection".

The gloss enhancers are one reason that I go with hyperwash

This is the vanilla ice cream of car soap, its a crowd pleaser, not perfect for everyone, but its a good, easy to use soap that isn't watered down to make it look cheap. As far as for it leaving stuff behind that might interfere with bonding of other products, I'm sure it does occur in some instances, but in general its a non issue.

And for you guys still using paste liquid waxes, welcome to 2026, Spray waxes are better in every way.

How important is the scent for car wash? It's not like y'all are sniffing your cars are you? (not trying to yuck anyone's yum, but that's a new one to me if you are)

Very strong scent, it's not unpleasant but some people may not like the after-shave or cologne type of smell. Maybe mine turned into a super concentrate and that's why it smells so strong but I've had this for many years, I get lazy and take my car to the carwash. I bought a power washer and spent unnecessary amount of money on foaming gun and expensive soap, all we needed was this type of soap actually, all that PH and other nonsense, unless you have a showroom car it's all waste, grab this 3 for $20 and wash the car.

This stuff is REALLY good. I bought a weed sprayer, one of those pump pressure 1 gallon tanks to spray weeds with. I mix this soap with 1 gallon of water then I drive to a self car wash. I spray my entire car with this stuff (I obviously don't use the entire 1 gallon, probably 1/4th of it) and while I'm letting it soak in I turn on the self wash and spray off the brush bristles to make sure the brush is clean with no dirt and then I scrub down the entire car with the soap brush and then high pressure rinse and it looks INSANELY good. Really shiny and water beads right off. Car has been looking super shiny for a week and resisting dirt really well

I used this with a foam cannon and it was good. Chatgpt recommended Chemical guys Honeydew as being great for foam cannons. It cost a lot more than this and I didn't see a difference. Both were good and I'll probably return to the Meguiar's next time I buy.
