At 2.6 lbs it is not that cumbersome. Smaller & lighter than the Soundcore Boom2 and closer to the size of the JBL charge 6.
Bass extension is decent for its size and thumps a bit heavier than my old Soundcore Motion +.
I got one from target for $49 last week.
