Your homeowners insurance may offer a pretty good discount if you have an automatic shut off valve installed. I bought and installed the YoLink one, then I found out that my homeowners insurance requires it to be the flow-through type, not an externally mounted type such as this. I still kept the YoLink because of the difficulty of installing a flow-through one, but just something to be aware of.

I have 8 of their water detecting sensor and another one with the water-sensing cable. I stuck the cable in the top of the pipe of my HVAC drain which is in my laundry room. In case it gets clogged up it alarms me. It already went off one time around 11:30pm while I was already laying in bed. I had it flood my floor once before and that is when I got this system. Very affordable, it can save you thousands of dollars in damages.

I recently did the Bulldog X3 style one and agree its great! Something to note: the D2D pairing works perfectly, but the app may say "invalid pairing". I called support and the rep was awesome! They assured me to ignore that app glitch and to test it anyway and sure enough, D2D worked perfectly without internet running!

I have their water sensors too, attached to the outflow pipe of my sump pumps just under the floor level. If a pump fails, I am alerted. Saved me due to a failed gasket.
