Not an ignorant question, and from what I understand not specific to the G.Skill Ram so much as "DDR5 at these speeds has coherence issues when all 4 slots are filled and so to keep things stable sometimes it needs to downclock them some".
Again what I understand, not a ram scientist lol. That being said 64 GBs at a SLIGHTLY slower speed is infinitely better than 32 GBs that is close to or sometimes overfull.

Much better incentives than I got with my bundle in June which was Lego Batman (though the 270K bundle was $549.99 at that point).
