damn.... the upgraded 500W ps require additional $90. but if upgrade it with that ps and a good rtx card then the memory is not enough....

Get a cheap case and throw a normal ATX power supply in it?

Also, how do you figure that 16GB is not enough based on the graphics card?

You can always install Bazzite if you're exclusively gaming. It doesn't require as much RAM as Windows.

Why does this same PC come around so often? It's also available on BBuy but for more. I could use a new PC but not currently desperate. There seem to be many refurbs in similar spec and price range so it's hard to know which one to get for <$500. I'm a little cautious about this one as it has been posted several times in the past.

the acer board doesn't take normal atx power, it has 'special' power connector... you have to get super fancy designed ps for it, and for a gaming pc... 16GB memory is kinda small.. no?

How do you know it doesn't use standard connectors? The last Acer I owned did.

And even if it doesn't, there's adapters to standard ATX.

16GB is still the recommended or minimum for most games at 1080P. With Linux, the requirements are less.

But what are you planning on putting with this? A 5090?

The most it's good for is a 5060 Ti or 5070.

bought one but returned, it started freeze when I just setup step, have to force shut down PC, later got through setup, but freeze happened within minute to an hour, so AI said its hardware problem like ram or ssd. so Acer didn't fix problem when it was returned by someone, probably never try to fix it. Acer computers I was had all had problem, but all of other brands are fine.

Chinese manufacturers have some low profile 16GB 9060XTs in the works which I think would do wonders for this PC...

if you search this model, you will find few post in the reddit community and acer form, this model PS doesn't have 8pin power connector, and use weird pin combo for their MB Power. I plan to setup a dedicate sytem with this plus my old 3060 and valve index in the basement.

yeah!!! dell do that shady thing too!!! I guess people make adapter for dell crap, not sure if Acer get similar thing, gotta to be 100% sure, one wrong move then say bye bye to the cpu.... mb.... memory...... ssd..... and probably warranty.....
