Tempting, but I'm going to limp along on my old forerunner until the Venu 4 gets cheap. The 3 has the older watch-specific OS. I think they are doing minimal support on those because it's more work to do. The 4 has the new unified OS/GUI shared with all their newer watches that should be much better/longer supported.

Tempting, but I'm going to limp along on my old forerunner until the Venu 4 gets cheap. The 3 has the older watch-specific OS. Does this have the new heart sensor in it? I have a vivoactive 4 that still works great, so I'm not sure if I'll upgrade

Yes it does, Im getting it for the ECG and music app that allows youtube music plus can do texts.

Or just buy the new 70 or 170, it has everything the 3 doesnt have plus more.

No it doesn't there's no ECG and you have to pay extra for the music version.

I've been having the Instinct 2X Solar so far and I'm super satisfied with it. But the only thing is, it looks pretty rugged. I need something for daily/workplace use. Is it worth having both and using the Instinct 2X for certain occasions, like outdoor activities only?

I have an Apple watch 6 and the Venu 3 has almost every feature with way way better battery life. The biggest gripe I had with the Apple watch was the poor battery life and secondary the GPS and HR and cadence calculations being inaccurate for running.
