I have 2.5gb plan internet. I used to get about 1.3gb to 1.5gb for torrents
Right now i get between 150 and 300mbps
6 months ago I was only getting about 10-15mbps for connections. so its better but still not the greatest.
if i switch over to non torrent connections can still get the 1.3 to 1.5gb.
As for proton mail a second email address is required. And yes they will give that up easy. They have also implemented additional verifications on new accounts with either phone number verification or open qr code with phone for verification.
I set up an new protonmail account for a new walmart account and as soon as i opened the walmart account proton required additional verification to keep account. Probably to combat fraud. But its yet another layer that you can be tracked.
That said its still a great service. I have had proton vpn probably 8 years, with only one short outage that I remember.
And August 27th The mail service was down for a couple hours. With no reason given for the outage. I think thats the only time the mail service has been down
