I agree, confusing.

From GW site:

"This battery is not compatible with the following 60V tools: any 60V 12" Snow Shovel, any 60V 20" Snow Thrower, any 60V 22" Snow Thrower, any 60V Tiller/Cultivator & any 60V Walk-Behind Lawn Mower, and any 60V Pressure Washers."

But a review says this:

5 out of 5 stars.
I bought these to replace my original batteries which wear seven years old. Although the Greenworks site says these batteries will not work in the 21 inch mowers , they do. They lock in to place and work fine, The only thing different I see is the 8.0 amp hour battery is about an inch taller than all the other 60 volt batteries which prevents the battery hood from closing all the way.

Sounds like it is just an issue of the battery hood latching.

Will go for it then- thanks! Hoping it won't be an issue for my single slot mower. The door closing is not a issue for me either way is guess

Works with mine, but it sticks up so far that the battery door is kind of ajar, so you can get more dirt and stuff in the battery compartment.

Better cells or just more? I have the 4ah batteries now. I would use it in a leaf blower, so I don't want too much more weight. My memory is the 4ah batteries are 15s2p 2ah 18650 cells. Could this be 15s2p 4ah 21700?

These are primarily built for the riding mowers. Mine came with 4. I believe without the Bluetooth the batteries won't work with the controller ensuring they are genuine.

I've used it in my other tools without an issue but as mentioned in my push mower that came with 4AH the door was a little ajar.

Tempted to pick up two spares but holding off as I'm only 1.5 years in on the ones that came with my zero turn.

Got mine and it fits with the door closed! Mine is a single slot mower from 2019ish
