How does this compare with the Fitbit Air?

Galaxy Fit is only for Android and has a screen; Fitbit is for iOS & Android and doesn't have a screen. I prefer the Air since I do not want to stop wearing regular watches.

And I just need a tracker and I'm team Android. If this does everything the Fitbit does and is cheaper, then I'm all in.

I have one. Wearing it now. Have been pretty happy with it. Battery lasts 10-12 days for me, which is nice. Tracks steps and sleep, which is what I use it for. Also displays texts and alerts you when your phone rings if you are in BT range.

I bought one recently at $38. I have a Galaxy watch 8 and I wear this more often. It's so much lighter and fits my wrist better. It's very comfy and battery lasts about 8-10 days for me. It's pretty responsive.my new favorite watch.

Leaks shows it's not really a upgrade. Same design just upgrade hardware.

Is this good? Im still using an aging Wyze watch. I charge it once every 2 weeks because I don't use the watch all the time probably 3 days of the week.

Wondering how often is this watch need to be charge?

Saysthatevery 13 days needs charging. So you are good to go comfortably for a week at least

Does this have proprietary bands? Or can I use any standard xxMM bands?

you can get converters on amazon. I think they take 22mm bands with the converter, but check it out before you do it because I'm not totally sure.

In 2024 I was purchasing these international models for everyone I knew who had a Samsung device (admittedly, not a requirement) and was seeking an OG Fitbit-style replacement (which meant, in part, hoping to avoid a pushy subscription model). Got one for both my in-laws, my wife, my sister, etc. The upside here is that you get a smart-ish watch with a battery that easily lasts days while also providing all the basic metrics and functionality users might expect from a wearable (much less one in the sub-$50 price range).

Samsung didn't want to cannibalize watch sales at the time, so we were all denied a great entry point into a wearable smartwatch for a large sample of potential buyers. I'm hopeful that the relatively basic specs of the Fit 3 model means that the upcoming Fit 4 release keeps a similarly low price point. I'd expect that this is one positive example of RAM pricing reviving a product (the Fit 3 has a mere 16MB of RAM + 256MB of storage).

If you own an Android phone (esp. a Samsung) and have ever even considered a smart watch, the Fit 3 is an undemanding way to take a foray into a wearable. You get much of the functionality, without necessarily committing yourself to a daily charging regime or an outsize watch form factor.

Good luck!
