Oh, nice! Finally the black shade is included. This newer version of the pack always has promos for the wild combos of colours but seldom the dark one.

This is an awesome travel backpack! I just used it on a work trip and it held a Laptop, external monitor, all the cords, and a change of clothes, without looking or being full. Super comfortable to wear and slides over a roller case beautifully.

Agreed. I'm a frequent international traveler for nearly 20 years and this is the goldilocks of backpacks at this price range.

How this compares to Thule backpacks on sale right now on bestbuy?

One of my favorite bags. The neutral black/gray version can pass as an office laptop bag on business trips, just need some organizers. It carries my 16" MBP comfortably. Some of us were lucky to grab it on BF last year for less but any sale on the non-ugly colors is a win.

For the record this isn't the lowest price of the year, but close.

100% best travel backpack and passes as a personal bag on reasonable airlines.

Bought one on an exceptional deal about 10 months ago for my fiance, buying another one now.

I bought mine specifically for an European trip and it passed as a personal item with zero issues on Ryan Air which is commonly known to be the opposite of reasonable lol

One down side is that given the compact appearance, on domestic US flights where the overhead space is becoming more limited and restrictive, I've been asked on more than one occasion to take it out of the overhead bin and store it under the seat in front of me which means not able to extend my legs on a already tight space.

Travelled pretty extensively around Europe with this as my one-bag and although packed to brim (3week trips), if you zip it down to the 26l config, it squeezes into budget carrier personal item dimension. My favorite versatility feature - It has dual access zippers- one lets you use it like a traditional backpack with top loading zipper, but if you want to use it as your "one bag" travel it opens up fully like a suitcase.
For context- we have a lot of one-bag backpacks from Osprey (farpoint, Fairview, regular daylite etc) and my teen loves this the best. She wants me to buy her another one for her camping trips.
