If you are back packing, but not doing extreme stuff then
Something like a jetbroil would better for most. Just easier and more compact to keep everything together.
This is only if you are doing water heat ups and adding to dehydrated foods, water and coffee.
This one you can take camping and cook food with that you want to put together,but youll need additional things like a cooking cookware.
If you are into extreme backpacking you probably already know what you want and thats the msr whisper light where its wind proof and can different types of fuel cans etc.
Youll want to make sure it has an igniter included.
Yes, you can do without in all in one for backpacking, but when you are done after a long day, its nice to sit and not look for parts, heat up water and make instant food and sleep.
Its all about usage and needs. They all have pros and cons based on what you want/need.

It boils fast, is a more wind resistant design and also has the built in igniter that hasn't failed me yet. Just sharing in case anyone is shopping around.
Edit: I also am aware this is a knock off of a Soto Windmaster.
