The cooktop knobs are close to the burners and made of plastic. Large pots and pans can bring the heat closer to the knobs and melt them. I upgraded the knobs to stainless steel and they work great!

I've been wanting to dwitux to gas for years. Assuming I can sell the microwaves for $150-$200 getting the stove for essentially free may be worth trying. I can run my own gas.

15000 btu and price is ridiculous, that is regular price everywhere else, you can get 45000+ btu for 1/3 that price

I've had this for nearly 2 years and not super happy with it.
Letters rub off very easily with gentle cleaning and it takes FOREVER to boil a small saucepan of water. Burners seem oversized, or all my cookware is tiny. The flame and heat seems to wrap around our stainless pots and pans leaving the clad bottom much cooler than the sides. ...and yes, I've tried multiple size burners for various pots/pans and i'm very experienced with gas cooktops.
I would look elsewhere and search for higher btu.
Center burner is great for extra large pans though.

I barely see real American cooking at home anyway, most of the time they are eating out or salads ....

I have this, the knobs suck and will break. If you can live with replacing your knobs every couple of years go for it. Also the blue led no longer work when on, crazy amount of $ to fix! Outside of that it works good.
Where do you order the correct replacement knobs? Do you have a link? Thank you.

I have it as well, and like it a lot. The knobs it comes with are plastic and I accidentally melted one. Weird choice. Was able to get stainless steel ones off Amazon. Also, if the grates slip while cleaning then they scratch the steel very easily. Other than these minor issues, no complaints.
Do you have a link to the metal knobs that work?

These ones are the ones I ordered but it's been a while:

It's been a few years and no scratches or issues and the lights work fine. You could copy the model number in the link to see if other knock offs are worth it!

There's a few over the range microwaves that you can add to cart for $229.99, but then you will save $200 on the bundle so the net increase in cost would be $29.99 for each extra microwave. Max savings up to $800.1.6 cu ft GE Stainless Steel [bestbuy.com] $229.99 (save $200 when bundling)1.6 cu ft GE White [bestbuy.com] $229.99 (save $200 when bundling)If you add 3, my final price came out to $588.96 (1x Gas Cooktop, 3x Microwaves)
Remember last year or so, people were just buying microwaves with the glitch. I wanted to jump in but don't have extra space for five microwaves
