If you got this kinda budget for subs, Pride Subwoofers are the real deal. Check this video out of a 240 pound man standing on the cones dustcover while they play it free air at 9 hertz. Probably the most insane thing I've ever seen. Leave it up to the crazy F'n Russians to build something this overengineered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Yq7CcUcIwA&t=5s

Pretty bananas, I'm a big fan of tranducers, if you haven't played with them I'd highly recommend getting some Earthquake MQB-1's to tinker with if you are into that sort of thing.

They never really interested me. Aurasound has been making those ever since I can remember. Early 90's at least. Always just figured they just give you all the vibrations of a subwoofer, without the sound of a subwoofer.

Yeah no kidding...loved driving around in my '95 Accord with my IDQ10s, Diamond Audio Hex system.
I still have a set of 12" Kicker Sub and enclosure and a Pioneer with the animated OLED screen unopened. The Best Buy that I bought them from had been closed for 10+ years lol

Pretty much, but if you want the feels of a high impact movie without the associated spl shaking the neighbors wall, they really make things seem like they are a lot louder then they are. Greatly impacts immersion.

I can totally see that. It makes sense.
