Definitely a good deal. Been using this for 3-4 years now and it definitely gets the job done. Make sure you watch the blade and replace it when necessary

I love this tool - and replacement blades (I've replaced 2) are pretty cheap from Direct Tools Outlet, or from any store.

I got one a few years back and it's a quick way for this weed and ant infested lawn to look sharp!

Yeah, I think it's YMMV. My HD shows Out of Stock but the price wasn't reduced: $99.

Is $99 for the tool with a battery and charger an ok deal? Don't have any other battery powered tools currently.

I have this and like it but I wouldn't recommend it with just one battery, I went Through 3 batterys to edge just my front yard and it's roughly 20x15 and park strip. If you plan on getting more Ryobi tools then it night be worth it for you.

When your blad wears down, won't be effective. I've replaced 2 blades already, but my clay can be tough.
