Quality of their steel is garbage now. They rust like crazy but the set I have from 15 years ago still great

These are nice for the price but I wouldn't consider them steak knives, more like sharp butter knives.

For the 2 comments above me, I bought this exact set in 2024 so fairly recently. Not a speck of rust on them and they look new, and they have been well used as daily driver knives, and they still cut my steak like butter 2 years later.

Good price. But company is not at all what it used to be. Before buying based on rep, search Google and inquire about quality.

For the life of me I will never understand why they make serrated knives for steak or anything else for the matter. A bread knife, yes.

My understanding is that, as a rule of thumb for modern-day Henckels stuff, if the logo is one guy, it's the cheap/outsourced version; if it's 2 guys, it's better quality. So, seeing the two-guy logo makes me think this is a slightly nicer-than-usual set. Can anyone back that up? It sounds like something I read on Slickdeals once... 😂

I thought it was because when you cut on ceramic plates, the serrated knives won't get dull since the sharp part of the knife is in the valley portion of the serration.

Compared to using a smooth knife on a ceramic or glass plate and you just end up dulling your knife.

I purchased this set a few years ago and they've held up great. No rusting and we typically put them in the dishwasher. They look great and feel nice in the hand as well.

I've had 4 of these exact ones for around 2 years and have even tossed them in the dishwasher a handful of times and they've been great. No rust, sharp, and a good weight without being chunky in the hand like some steak knives.

Could be good. Have a full set of Oneida stainless that I bought about 5 years ago that was made in Vietnam. It has been excellent. Would pass on China-made, it has been trash, so may give this a shot for some extras.

"Sharp butter knives" is nonsense - clearly some people never actually used these.

I bought this set Aug 3, 2019 for the same price. Given inflation, this is a great price.

As for the knives - not a spot of rust and they go through the dishwasher several times a week. They're still sharp, cut well, nice heft, and would buy again on this deal ... if they weren't still in great shape.
