It is expensive, but excellent at the same time. It is marketed to paint and body work, probably why the higher price, but is excellent for woodworking. I am going to sell my M18 5" orbital, never pick it up anymore after getting this. The only other orbital I will keep is my corded Bosch which is a beast, I do prefer this M12 over it though, just smaller and easier to handle, great design.

They did pair the batteries you want for this, both the 5.0 and 2.5 HO are my personal favorites.

these are so NEATO but i am a wood guy at the moment. These are more meant for metal which I'm sure they're good at.

When paired with the included Milwaukee Tool 6" Backing Pad - Soft, the pad and tool combination is optimized for vibration for long durations of usage along with the preferred removal rate of clear coat. Equipped with a new-to-world, tool-free backing pad change to eliminate the stress and potential damage of the tool when changing pads. The vacuum port allows users to remove debris from the work surface while sanding, both left and right ports are included with the tool to enable users to change the direction of ingress removal.
