Just installed mine yesterday. So good, excellent and extremely quiet, inside/outside. Bought for same price direct from mftr.

Have read online that these "off-brand" systems work just fine, but just do not have the longevity of the major brands (like Mitsubishi et.al.). Can anybody refute this? Repped, OP.

I really wish 'Planned Obsolescence' and vested interests weren't an issue. I'd love to have more confidence in these.

That's been my experience. The indoor blowers start becoming noisy after a year or two

If you stop and think about what youre doing, you'll realize vacuuming the lines is necessary in all applications. Harbor freight has a vacuum pump for <$100. Guage cost another ~$25. Well worth investment.

How are these compared to the costway 24seer 12k 115v? Do these heat with a very low outdoor temperature?

Confirming you do have to vacuum the lines. I got a set from amazon for $100. Worked great. Vac for 30 and then close the lines to hold the vac for 30/check for leaks.
