intrusive super bright green ad in Slickdeals app

Is it possible to block that super annoying bright neon ad in the Slickdeals app? It appears to change my screen brightness settings or something. It's headache inducing. Angering me to the point I'm considering deleting the Slickdeals app.

The ad appears to be for some cash bonus / gambling thing. I get the ad practically every time I use the app, been seeing it for over a month now.
