This Razer mouse is a good fit for anyone who wants a portable mouse for a gaming laptop. It's probably not quite right for a permanent desktop setup.

I only use them in dongle-based wireless mode, not Bluetooth, so I can only comment on that mode. In my experience, they are very responsive and reliable. I have small hands, and these are the best small mice I have found in terms of tracking accuracy and response speed.
My only complaint is not really about the mouse itself, but about Razer. I wish they would release a V3 model, since the V2 has been on the market for quite a long time.
The orochi left/right clicks requires more force and that doesn't happen on this mouse. The switches on the orochi are more satisfying to click too.
However, the orochi doesn't like NIMH batteries all that much; it will always say that it's low on power (due to the lower voltages of NIMH batteries), and in my experience seems to only last like a month before requiring a recharge.
I do like the hypershift feature of the orochi. By modifying the DPI key to be the hypershift key, I can program the side mouse buttons to do other things (I have them act as a macro, and as the [enter] key.
Had the orochi for like 3-4 years now. recently the middle mouse button was double clicking.... seems to have gone away on its own for the time being.
I have 3 G305's I have used over the past 6 or 7 years, and was kind of debating with myself whether I should purchase one of these Razer models. I wore out one of the microswitches in my first G305, causing it to randomly lose drag and drop capability, so I purchased another 2 years ago. I also have a 3rd I keep in my work bag, which has faithfully served me for around 5 years.
I tried imagining a smaller mouse for the mobile mouse role, but decided I like the size of the G305. I consider it just about a perfect size for a full day of work.
Ultimately, I decided against the Orochi v2 because it really doesn't serve a purpose I'm not already having fulfilled by a G305 mouse.
