They are not using LFP cells. A 20,000mAh LFP power bank would be much larger than this. Additionally, your testing needs to be standardized. This power bank can push out up to 190w. Depending on what you're charging and the wattage you're pulling, you will get less "efficiency". Charging a Macbook at 60w is very different than charging a phone at 18w, even if the cell capacity is the same. You will get less efficient charging due to high wattage charging generating more waste heat. Additionally, every power bank has a BMS that has a low voltage cutoff to prevent deep discharge. The cutoff for every power bank is set by the manufacturer and is up to the manufacturer to decide how low is too low. For example, If they want to be a little conservative for extra safety, they could set the low voltage cutoff to 2.7v instead of 2.4v. This does not change the actual capacity of the cells, however it does change the usable amount.

Your 10,000mAh ones are "more efficient" possibly due to the fact that they don't go nearly as high wattage or that they have a lower low-voltage cutoff. Would be impossible to tell without seeing your test numbers. You should test two power banks of similar wattage and of similar cell structure (4x 21700) to compare. Realistically, the discrepancy in your efficiency tests are unlikely to make a huge difference in real world use, maybe the different between charging your phone 4.5 times or 4.9 times.

Regardless, the point is that you said they are lying. Even if the efficiency on this product is worse, that does not mean they are lying. You misunderstood how batteries work and spread misinformation.

With CCC? No, this is the only power bank I've ever even seen that had it. I'm assuming that CCC requires the manufacturer to limit the usable capacity of the cells to increase safety, so this certification will decrease quality in other areas.

By the way, it's only capable of outputting 190 watts max if one of the connected devices supports Lenovo proprietary 20v/7a charging, which is not part of USBPD spec. It's going to be limited to 100 watts per port for all other devices, and using the C and A ports on the device simultaneously limit them to 20 watts shared total. That brings the peak output to 120 watts on 3 ports and 165 on 2 if you aren't charging a Lenovo laptop.

I've seen many 165 watt 20Ah banks around 40~60 bucks, but I don't really buy bigger ones like those anymore. I want to carry them in my pockets without them pulling my pants down or smacking my balls with every step. Sorry I can't give any real use reviews.

Does that mean I can assume that most 10,000 mAh power banks are also only providing around 7,500 mAh at 5V?

Also, I am aware that inefficiencies in the charging process meant that fully charging a phone requires a power bank with a larger capacity (25%-33% more?). Is what you are describing compounded on top? Meaning it's possible that a 5,000 mAh phone might take 6,500 mAh of power bank to charge, and that I might need an advertised 9,000 mAh power bank to actually get something like 6,500 mAh of usable power?

(I'm trying to keep things very generalized and learn more. Forgive me if any of my understanding is wrong, or if any of my numbers are ridiculously far off of what is realistic.)

This can only put out 190 watts across two devices, one at 125 and the other at 65. But the 125 watt charging requires a proprietary Lenovo 20v7a charging protocol, and I don't have any devices that support this. The standardized USBPD max is 100 watts, and I did not get more than 65 watts from the second port when drawing 100 from the cable with any combination of devices I had. That means it's 165 watts max for all non-Lenovo laptop users, and still only for a few minutes before it thermal throttles to 60 watts.

I tested it at 5 volts from the A port, which should be the most efficient output. This is how I tested all my power banks, as I prefer slow charging my devices when possible. It still only managed 54 or so Watt hours. It also barely even consumed 67 Watt hours when charging from 0 to 100, so the cells themselves are being limited. Call it a safety feature or whatever, I don't care.

They claim 20Ah, but are the farthest from being able to deliver that of any power bank I've tested. They are therefore lying about their useful capacity more than any other power bank manufacturer I've bought from.

They never said that 20,000mAh was their usable capacity, therefore they are not lying about their usable capacity. They said 73Wh cell capacity, 55.74Wh rated capacity. How do you still not understand this after someone else already explained this to you? You just can't read. Just stop dude, you're wrong and you don't know what you're talking about.

They didn't put 55.75 Wh in the title or description, only 20 Ah. 55.75 Wh is what I calculated from their label on the back of the device that said 11150 mAh at 5 volts. That's the only rated output listed, where other banks list rated outputs for all their voltage levels.

They don't have to say "DELIVERS 73 WATT HOURS GUARANTEED". They're fudging the numbers, which all manufacturers do. But they fudged them more so than others. This 20Ah battery pack cannot output as much energy as other 20Ah battery packs. This is a fact that they admit, in fine print on the back of the product. That is the lie. Admitting it in fine print doesn't make it okay, it only makes it legal.

You have some incorrect assumptions. Modern DC to DC converters in these applications are 95% efficient or better. Otherwise these things would melt when delivering 100W output!!!!

I got one of these almost 2 months ago. Best power bank I have. It can recharge from either the permanent USB-C cable or USB-C port itself, which is nice - it won't be worthless if something happens to the permanent cable. What's also nice is that it can recharge itself at up to 100W so you don't have to wait forever to top it off. Useful screen on it, too, showing temperature, total in/out, or individual port in/out on the second screen.

Would buy again if I needed another.

"due to heat and various other factors". I'm not going to explain all the factors that contribute to why a power banks rated capacity is lower than the cell capacity. Heat is a factor, I did not say it's the only factor. You had an incorrect assumption there.

They put 20Ah in the description because that's how you label batteries, by their cell capacity. You cannot label it by deliverable mAh because there are too many factors involved to give a flat number. Deliverable mAh can change depending on what you're charging. It's not a lie. By your logic, all other power banks labeled 20,000mAh are also lying because ain't a single one of them will be 20,000mAh deliverable. Some will be more efficient yes, but where do you draw the line on what's lying? Labeling 20,000 and being 85% efficient is not lying but being 80% efficient is lying? Your logic is arbitrary at best. All my other power banks are also labeled at different voltages, but they all calculate out to the same Wh.

Most of the reviews seem to be for a different product. I don't see a single image of the 25Ah power bank, and barely any of them actually mention that they're talking about the 25Ah version. Most refer to a 10Ah bank. While I'd like to recommend this one, I cannot find any useful info on it. I even checked their own website, still don't see a watt hour rating or manual anywhere.

This was basically my experience as well. Took it to the other side of the planet. Served me well. Had also picked up a 24k Anker unit off woot for my wife. Both solid units, though this Wagon unit charges much faster and our phones/SteamDeck couldn't tell the difference between them.
