Dr Pepper Zero Sugar is the main draw here, with the deal price working for some orders and dropping even lower with Subscribe and Save plus the coupon. The soda itself is described as drinkable, but there are repeated reports of flat cans, weak flavor, and boxes arriving dented, busted, or crushed in transit. Expiration is another concern, with some cases said to be close to or past the best by date. A dependable price only if the shipment and freshness line up.

  • Shoppers who want a diet soda with no sugar, because it is sold as zero sugar and can fit a sweetener-free preference.

  • Dr Pepper Zero fans who want a familiar cola-style flavor, because it can taste close enough to the original to satisfy a craving.

  • People who drink a few sodas a week, because the flavor is described as a good occasional alternative even at a higher price.

The last time I got a similar deal from Amazon I received two 12-packs with no Best By date on either the box or any of the cans.

They did taste like they were past their Best By date. Didn't have the same flavor or sweetness.

Gonna try again with this deal and hope the first time was a fluke.

Enjoy half of your cans being busted up and dented
That's how you end up with 18 cans for price of 12.

Diet drinks are much more susceptible to this, as the sweetener breaks down much faster than sugar does. Nothing is nastier than a diet soda past its expiration date, yech!

Edit: OMG check the reviews on amazon, everyone is saying these on sale are all expired!
Customers report receiving expired Dr Pepper Zero Sugar, with multiple reviews mentioning products that were almost expired or out of date.

I got some last week. They all had the football promotional boxes form the beginning of the year. They are the newest in, but will be the first ones I drink once I have room in the fridge

Sugar taxes on sugar free drink? Is that actually true?

If they're completely bust open Amazon will refund you... but don't think they will for two or three cans being dented.

Last time I ordered from Amazon (Coconut Dr. Pepper) I only did because it had finished selling in stores and cans all arrived in perfect condition... but back when I used to use them for Bubly it was about a 50:50 chance if there were dented cans so I stopped ordering.

Don't know if I got lucky and was on the right side of the 50:50 split the last time, or they've got better about delivering cans. I'm not sure how it was profitable selling canned drinks for Amazon- unless a lot of people didn't bother asking for refunds.

And it being a month away from expiration or completely expired.
Seriously. I'll never buy soda from Amazon again. I thought it was a fluke but literally every case of soda I bought from them had more than half the cans busted.

Care adding these to large S&S orders. They will pack them in with everything else, they will crush things, they will break open and you will lose your whole shipment.
