If there is no core removal, you are just compacting it more.

Do not buy this, literal waste of time, money and resources.

This is not worth it. I had it and after about 2 uses the u-part of the tool bent at the connection to the pole and it became useless. If you have compacted soil this won't survive.

You need a core aerator. Rent one as it's not worth to buy a crappy one. Or hire someone to do it.

I second this. Even with the manual tools like this that DO remove the core, they get stuck and you'll be clearing it constantly. Rent or have someone do it for the sake of your mental health.

Better off getting those sandal things with spikes and wear those when mowing. It cost less to hire someone to do it than 1 day rental from home Depot for the machine.

I mean, they get a commission out of everything amazon anyways, so...yes?

You make it sound deeper that it is.

This is a good product if you arent scared to put some leg into it. I found a method that was efficient for a manual aerator. Now months later and seeding and fertilizing and my lawn looks a lot better. This definitely helped bring my lawn back to life. Assembled with just two bolts and nuts and you are ready to aerate. Seems like a good value for the price versus renting an aerator especially if the area isnt very big. Handle can be set to different heights to accomodate different size people. Seems as sturdy as I would expect for the price.

Not where I am. Rental is like $45 for a few hours. Paying someone last year was $200.
