Have you seen the prices of hard drives? They have doubled - tripled what they were. This AI buildout has impacted lots of things, not just ram. Holding out makes no difference to the prices, since consumer demand isnt the driver - its AI buildout by the giant AI companies, not consumers.

China's RAM production is ramping up but I doubt if we'll see US prices come down, at least until this administration is gone

The newest M6 Mac Mini with the same config is $1099, so this is a pretty nice discount if you don't think you need the extra power of the M6.
