Specs claim total RMS over 5 channels is 490 watts. Couldn't find anyone on YT doing a dyno on this model but Hifonics isn't really known for over rating their amps. At best they meet the claimed rating but they don't always. They probably fall short of claimed power as often as they make claimed power. Claiming 2500max and 490wrms doesn't give me a lot of confidence this amp has much power. Even if it made the claimed 490rms, it's still not a good $ per watt price. There's a whole plethora of $200 and under amplifiers that will give you easily over 1000 watts. Just one example, would be the Stinger 5 channel 1200 watt amp. It'll will give you more than rated, for the same price as this. For what it's worth, every Stinger amp I've seen dyno'd put out way over claimed rms and are super efficient.

Anyone looking for a super small footprint, super efficient multi channel amp, you might want to look into the newly released Fosi Audio CA30 4 Channel. Every review I've seen on the internet has given it rave reviews and dyno'd it putting out easily over it's it claimed 100wrms x 4, or 160 x 4 @ 2ohms or 320wrms x 2 bridged @ 4 ohm. It's not on sale and probably wont be anytime soon, but it's only $139 full retail. Also For what it's worth, Big D on YouTube tested this amp all the way down to 2ohm bridged which is beyond what it's rated to be stable to and it put out just over 1300wrms total, or a bit over 650 x 2wrms on the test bench. That's crazy power levels for 140 bucks. For anyone interested in seeing his dyno tests. go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bycYfpNsP70 and If for some reason you don't care for Big D, There's lot's of other people reviewing this exact amp. The amp is making a lot of noise in the car audio world because its the first car amp Fosi Audio's ever released. I'm looking forward to seeing what other products they release in the future.

The listing is poorly detailed. This amp is 1 ohm stable but they rate the amp at 1800x1 at 1ohm yet its five channel. Do new class Ds allow you to bridge all the channels together why didn't they rate the resistance by channel? I would guess this intended to be 4 high level channels and 1 dedicated subwoofer channel.
Hifonics, now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. They used to make pretty solid amps in the '90s. No clue how well they hold up today.
They've been around ever since I can remember. I installed car audio in the late 80's and they were around back then but they were made in the USA back then. Todays Hifonics is a shell of what they used to be. They are made in China now and very middle of the road. Hifonics amps today are hit and miss if they make claimed rms power.
