Seems expensive compared to what I normally pay. This is a VERY small roll but might be suitable for some peoples need.

Alternative at homedepot. $50 but you get 12 times. (Not sure if this prices is area dependant)

Also, keep in mind, almost any landscaper will not recommend this and swear it will be ripped out in a few years. Weeds will 100% still grow (I think it is easier pulling them out though as weeds not in dirt as much) and bad for the ecosystem below it because not as much nutrition gets through. I still use it but just putting what a lot of people recommend. Do your own research.

Weed fabric never works. However, it will also become the bane of your existence in a couple years when it tears and frays and your yard is full of thousands of pieces of plastic.

Every year I put this down and it's always a failure. I've tried so many types but as someone above states, weeds will still get through. If you don't stay on top of it, it will fully overtake it. If any bit of dirt gets on top, weeds/grass will grow in that little mount of dirt on top of it. If you have to mow around it or weed eat, you'll get careless at some point and it will get shredded then it's all over the yard. At this point, I am going to use what I have left and then stop using it.

Not to mention your garden is growing with plastic in it which maybe it's a bigger deal than we realize, who knows. But I just hate having the mess.

I love it when the weeds roots grow into this stuff like it was designed to be a root mesh and then you can't even pull the weeds out without pulling up the entire sheet of fabric

Look into geotextile fabric if regular weed barrier isn't doing the job.

I layer mine with amazon cardboard boxes, then the barrier, then some rocks.

I use cardboard with decent success. Yes, it decomposes faster than landscape barrier products, but it does work for a period of time.
