I bought this TV from Best Buy last week for 899.00 and was able to have them price match the 50.00. Thanks Slickdeals! There is a guy on YouTube called Quantum TV that finds the best settings and he was spot on! Not OLED, but real close. This TV is fantastic. I always buy Geek Squad's 5 year warranty, because I live in Florida, they come to your home, and it covers power surges.

Doesn't cut out the crazy afternoon light, it does soooo much better than my previous TCL which was like a glossy finish. This does a great job with the anti-glare finish. I also used to have to fight my in-ceiling lights reflection, those are pretty much a non-issue now. This TV is much brighter than my TCL from about 6 years ago... and the anti-reflective finish is really the winner here. ALSO I should say the speakers are surprisingly capable. I still have a soundbar I use with a separate subwoofer, but I tried turning that off and just using the TV speakers. Very impressive! Usually tv speakers are a complete waste, but these hold up pretty well for themselves! Very happy with the TV and for $850 I don't think you can do any better.

Placed one of these on a covered patio so reflective light is a possible issue.

Really happy with performance so far.

65" QM9K at Bestbuy for $999 seems like the better buy.

From what I read, the QM7K will out perform this TV across the board, especially with the PS5. I was looking at the U7 as a general TV but all research pointed me directly to the QM7K, in such a way basically was told to not even compare the 2. At least from what I read, YMMV.

I bought it last Friday as well. Price match pretty painless to get?

FYI- extremely happy with the tv, image isn't as good as my C5 but still looks great and is brighter with really good sound output. (Will be used outside some so brightness and sound both come in handy)

This is a fine TV. I'm waiting for it to drop back down to $750 where I briefly saw it a few months ago. You needed to be a Prime member to get that price for the Fire OS version.

FWIW, RTINGS says:
Quote from RTINGS :
The Hisense U7SG is much better than the TCL QM7K. The Hisense gets a lot brighter, so bright highlights in HDR stand out better, and bright scenes are more vivid and realistic. The Hisense also looks a lot better in a bright room, thanks to its higher SDR peak brightness and much better anti-reflective coating.

This is a pretty great budget TV, but I'd anticipate better price drop around Black Friday.

great budget tv, I got mine in July. Was surprised not even a hint of dirty screen even though the rting con was for dirty screen.

FYI - the u7 is getting Dolby Vision 2 sometime in September via update

Any idea if Costco would carry U7 or U8 models? I prefer Costco because of their default allstate warranty and return policy. I am ready to wait for another 3 or 4 months.
