LOL. $400 in person at Micro Center for a 4TB QLC drive means the opposite of what you apparently think it means.

That's an amateur evaluation, bubba. 90% of NVMe sticks lack DRAM anymore. It's belt-tightening, but it's also dynamic allocation to the computer's DRAM which is (ironically) also 90% as effective. Look into it, respond only with evidence to the contrary.

Good price imo considering what's happening in the last year or so. I got a 2tb wd black currently there are times I wish it was bigger . If I didn't have one already I'd jump on this with out thinking twice! I'm not that much of a tech person what really does the black do that blue does not? It's storage and the black may be slightly faster we're talking milliseconds here .

Endurance on this 4TB Blue QLC NAND SSD is only 1200 TBW.

That's half of what the 4TB Black and other comparable TLC NAND NVMe's are. Unless you need it right away, I would hold off for a better deal with the holidays coming up. Amazon had a 4TB 990 EVO Plus for $315 earlier this month which I managed to snag.

The bigger decisional crisis arriving sooner than that, is the onslaught of Chinese memory adding some healthy competition to this scene (e.g., KingSpec and Fiongxuang or whatever), with unproven reliability and performance. Tempting to say the least, with lots of lazy conclusions for and against...
