$100 bill, 20 bucks tip. That's 120 bucks. THe 65 GC pays for the 100 bill, another 20 bucks TIP that is not discounted. So you're paying 85 bucks for a 120 tab. 85/120=...wait for it...70.8%. That's a 29.2% discount anywhere this is accepted. If you do takeout and not pay tip, it's 35%. That is by all account...INSANELY GOOD! We have anything from michelin rated restaurants to coffee shops by us(NYC) and in a fairly decent volume.
Long story short, for those of us living in big cities where there are a lot of restaurants available on the platform, this is massive. It's literally the only reason I keep a costco membership.
The way it was set up and the way they were throwing those 50/50 or even 50/100 deals was unsustainable. And it's also a model used by practically anyone to attract customers and build an eco system. Was GREAT while it lasted, this is still great, just slightly less...

Oddly enough, one set of same-owned places has a fancy downtown location (Asian fusion) and a local hole in the wall joint (really good burgers!) Our last two date nights were to both, respectively and each was worth it at this price.
ETA: I was down to $30.02 on our InKind balance, so this is perfect timing for our next date night!

But no you cannot combine with gift cards any more. You do get 20% CB on the amount you do pay though.
I've done it many times for take out. Never called ahead though, but I assume it's the same if you pay at the restaurant and not through a 3rd party

It will take $50 off your $100+ bill. The balance after the $50 off, you will pay with your credit card on file (can't use your credit from Costco egift card), but will earn up to 20% cash back on the amount paid with credit card, excluding tip. (app should list cash back % - will vary by restaurant as well as day and time of the week).
Cash back is treated as a promotion (like $50 off $100), so you can't stack your credit from Costco egift card when you use your cash back balance for future dining. Cash back expires at the end of the second month from when you earned it (i.e. cash back earned any day in September will expire on the last day of November). Cash back balance expiration gets extended the same way each time you perform a qualifying action (dine out using inkind, add credit to your account, etc). So cash back balance earned in September will have expiration extended to December if you have a qualifying action in October.
Advantages of buying the restaurant gift card
1) no expiration, whereas the $50 off $100 offer usually expires within 2 or 4 weeks.
2) you can pay gratuity with the restaurant gift card, whereas the inkind app makes you pay gratuity with the credit card on file
