I heard somewhere if you request a return after receiving it they'll offer 10% off ($42 here) on top of the great deal. Now you are talking 378 for a one of a kind 5K gaming and productivity monitor.

Not bad

Thunderbolt limits you if it's the only connection (looking at you LG ultrafine). Usbc to DP and HDMI cables exist too...

I got this monitor 2 days ago. Great monitor, but it's next to my glossy and bright LG Ultrafine 5K. For productivity, nothing can hold a candle to the LG.

That said I'm likely keeping it since it functions so well for my uses, 95% productivity, 5% gaming.

Just bought two of these to hook up to my Mac and replace two old 1080p BenQ monitors that are 5-6 years old. Spend my entire day doing Word, PDF, email, etc., so really hoping it shines for office tasks and lots of reading.

I did the math and seems very hard to beat this price if you're looking for 5k monitors for native Mac scaling.

Wanted to get Mini-LED (probably why these are so heavily discounted) and strongly considered the MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M, but for $140 cheaper (for 2) and a whole extra K of resolution, I pulled the trigger.

Monitors should arrive Friday, we'll see how my old M1 Max handles them. Sadly I'm guessing I won't be able to exceed even 60Hz, but at least when I upgrade my Mac in 2031 I won't also need to upgrade my monitors (hopefully).

How is your experience so far? Considering this monitor for mostly office work on Mac as well. I figure in a few years there will be cheaper/better 5k mini-led models at similar prices but this will do for now.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

So, got the monitors a day early, one had a cluster of dead pixels, the other was fine. Returning the bad one and ready ordered another one (they couldn't just do a replacement, I guess).

Monitor looked depressingly dark at first, but once I turned the brightness up it looked incredible to me. I'm coming from some older BenQ 1080p office monitors, so this is a huge leap for me.

I'll be honest, I don't really know if the 5k vs 4k difference is that big, but I'm able to drive both of these monitors at 5k and 120Hz (or variable 48-120 if I want) using USB-C to DP cables on my 5-year old M1 Max MBP, which the internet / AI told me I would not be able to do. So, that was a pleasant surprise--I was expecting to have to live with 60 Hz at 5K.

So, fast refresh rate, excellent PPI, and I hooked up my gaming laptop and that also looks amazing. Other than the hassle of having to swap out the monitor with the dead pixel cluster, these are exactly what I was looking for.

They do get surprisingly hot, but no fan noise, so that's nice.

For my purposes--90% work (lots of documents on a Mac that likes native 5k resolution for easy scaling) and 10% gaming every now and then, I'm very happy so far.

I got one with a dead pixel cluster too. They did offer me $40 off to keep it, but I ordered when it was $450 anyway. I guess I'll just order another one.

Got two. I hope it's about on par with my old 27-inch iMac.
