My recommendation for anyone looking for their first 3D printer:

Do you want to print anything with more than one color? Once you find out how much waste a normal "multi-color" printer produces to actually print in multi-color, you will not want to print in multi-color. However, there are now multi-toolhead printers that are much better at this.
Flashforge Creator 5 | $699 | $849 enclosed (4-Toolheads)
Snapmaker U1 | $849 (4-Toolheads)
Those will save you a bit of money in filament but more importantly, print much much faster. There are more options out there, but not in the sub $1k range. REMEMBER, multi-color does NOT equal multi-toolhead.

Do you want to forever print in one color? Then you probably have experience, get what you know you want. If you don't have experience, you LIE to yourself! You will want to print in color, spend a little more on a multi-tool head printer.

Doesn't print TPU btw. Used to be supported material apparently, but just google "AD5X TPU" and you'll see most people being unable to print TPU, at least using the IFS system.

The price sure is temping but I've been banging my head trying to get my both of my AD5M's calibrated with this kingroon crap that's been going on sale. This is a single head printer, mind you, I wouldn't want to deal even more complexity as a beginner. However I am totally waiting out for multi-head printer for when the prices are right.

So final call in your opinion:

Ive had a dozen printers, with most being kinda before the recent wave of reliability. All of my FDM printers are still in storage after moving, and I'm only using my Saturn S resin printer because it's just farkin reliable and the parts are strong AF... But I've been wanting to add a new FDM to the garage to take advantage of all of these newer, reliability features...

If you were me, what would you get if you were looking for 3/5 in price, 4.5/5 in reliability, and 2/5 in printable media/colors? I don't print figurines, but I run CAD at work and have certainly printed my customers small shit that my boss didn't want to deal with on the clock.

The Creator 5 is currently on sale for $615 - $85 less than your listed price, so a pretty good value:

Keep at it, you'll get it. I primarily use kingroon PETG and I print at near PLA speeds. Calibration is worth it.

Very nice, I should be the one asking you for advice Big Grin
If this is a business purchase then investing in the H2C or Prusa Core One + INDX system will open up a lot of possibilities with higher spec'd materials, multi-material printing and even multi-nozzle size printing. I don't have nearly enough experience to be able to narrow down anything else, lots of new reliable options out there and many many reputable youtubers reviewing them.
