I'm in the market. Any opinions on whether my $250 are better spent on a different brand/model? Also considering that this includes a 128 GB micro SD card. I will be hardwiring FWIW.

I'd suggest looking into rearview mirror power adapter for hardwiring.
Much simpler than running cable to the fuse box
